begyndte at spille allerede i 5-års alderen. I efteråret 1992 påbegyndte hun studier ved Det kongelige Musikkonservatorium i København hos Milan Vitek. Samtidig studerede hun på musikhøjskolen i Göteborg og i 1997 havde hun debutkoncert ved begge institutioner.
Fra 1997 har hun studeret på Guildhall School of Music & Drama i London hos David Takeno.
I 1994 repræsenterede Malin Sverige i Eurovision Broadcasting Union Competition i Warsawa, hvor hun vandt trediepræmie. Finalen blev sendt i TV i de fleste europæiske lande. Samme år vandt hun førstepræmie og publikums pris i Washington International Competition for Strings, Washington DC. I Juni 1996 vandt hun andenpræmie i Carl Nielsen konkurrencen i Odense.
Malin har været solist med orkestrene i bl a Göteborg(1995, 1998), Helsingborg (1993, 1998), Tivoli (1996, 1998), Sjælland, Odense, Gävle og Umeå. Har arbejdet med dirigenter som Neeme Järvi, Heinrich Schiff og Paul Daniels. Hun debuterede med det svenske radioorkester i november 1998. Koncerten blev sendt direkte i Sveriges Radio.
Sammen med Simon Crawford-Phillips og Jesper Svedberg udgør hun Kungsbacka klavertrio, som i 1999 vandt den prestigefyldte konkurrence Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition. I sæsonen 1999/2000 debuterer trioen i Wigmore Hall og Purcel Room i London, turnerer i Sverige, har koncerter i Skotland, Frankrig og Tyskland samt indspiller for BBC radio 3.
Siden september 1999 har hun undervist på musikhøjskolen i Göteborg.
Malin spiller på en Lupo violin fra 1813, venligst udlånt af Järnåker fonden.
MALIN BROMAN, born 1975 started playing at the age of 5. In 1992 she started studies in Copenhagen and Göteborg, from where she had her diploma concert in 1997. In 1975 she started studying at Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London at David Takeno.
In 1994 she represented Sweden in the Eurovision Broadcasting Union Competition i Warsawa, having the third price. Same year she had the first price in Washington International Competitions for Strings. Same year she had the second price in Carl Nielsen Internation competition in Odense, Denmark.
Malin has been a soloist with the following orchestras: Gothenburg, Helsingborg, Copenhagen, Odense, Gaevle and Umeaa. She has been working with conductors as Neeme Jaervi, Heinrich Schiff and Paul Daniels.
With Simon Crawford-Phillips and Jesper Svedberg she forms the Kungsbacka Piano trio that in 1999 won the competition Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition. In 1999/2000 they will play in London, Sweden, Scotland, France and Germany.
From 1999 she has started teaching at the Music High School of Gothenburg.
Malin plays a Lupu violin from 1813, generously lent out by the Jaernaaker Fond.
